Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking
Note from the book :
Chapter 8, Soft Power : Asian-American and Extrovert Ideal
The difference between west and east culture made a personality contrast. Asian tends to be quiet and calm. They've been taught to focus on study, listen well, and focus on their mind than speak nonsense or trying to be noticed (stand out). It's different with west culture that being quite is seen as the symbols of incompetence, weak and lacking.
Eastern parents, when come visit their relative/ friends, more prefer their children to sit still and read a book. Meanwhile, this kind of behaviour may supposed to be such a pity in western.
Americans are the most extroverted countries in the world, while Asians are more sensitive, quiet, and afraid to hurt other feelings.
Note from the book:
An attachment theory mostly considered to finding a partner.
